Mexican fire opal is named for its range in color from vivid red to orange, peach, and yellow. This type of opal usually doesn’t have the typical opalescence or display of color that other natural opals do, however it is similar in its translucence to pink opal, or some forms of agate. The best qualities of this stone are found in Mexico, which is where I sourced mine. Mexican fire opals invoke fire element energy to stimulate your passion in all its forms, especially awakening your sexuality, and spiritual enlightenment.
They resonate with the sacral chakra, work to motivate your life force energy, and enhance your kundalini.
