I went hunting for South African bloodstone at the Denver Gem Show and I found these precious angels! Now I am so excited to be able to offer these beautiful and rare bloodstone angels. You know, I always love the link between gemstones, history, and folklore. These blood jaspers – which originate in South Africa (as the name implies) are really some of the most intriguing stones in my collection. Bloodstone is a variety of deep-green chalcedony, a crypto-crystalline quartz, flecked with red jasper. It’s a powerful healer across physical and spiritual planes, and carved into angel form? Yes please!
How to work with South African bloodstone angels
Bloodstone is my go-to stone for healing of ANY kind.
