They’re connected with a genuine leather string and painted in a color that corresponds with one of the seven main chakras. They’re also intricately painted with the Sanskrit letters for each energy center, followed by two vertical lines – a full stop, or period, in Sanskrit.

Tingshas are also known as Tibetan chimes or Tibetan hand cymbals.
