Samhain Beeswax Intention Candle

I’m excited to bring back my Samhain Beeswax Intention Candle, just in time for shadow season. This candle was hand-rolled at Sage Goddess Headquarters with sheets of gold, rust, and black beeswax and wrapped in custom SG art. The word Samhain means Summer’s End in Gaelic (pronounced Sow-wen or Sow-wain). It falls on Halloween night and is considered the end of the Celtic year. Samhain is the Velvet Curtain – a metaphor for the veil between worlds that is both thin and dark, comforting and protective, mysterious and magical. The medicine of Samhain and Halloween is death because there is no other way to lean fully into the work of the living. This beautiful candle is anointed with my Samhain Perfume, with notes of dragon’s blood, black patchouli, and vanilla bean. It’s also infused with black obsidian and carnelian chip stones for protection and courage. Light this candle to connect with your ancestors and to let go of what no longer serves.

The deeper magic of my Samhain Beeswax Intention Candle 

My Samhain Beeswax Intention Candle is blended with notes of dragon’s blood, black patchouli, and vanilla bean. Dragon’s blood is a powerhouse against negativity and will amplify your magical workings. It gives a boost of tenacity, heals, protects, and is excellent for clearing energies. Patchouli helps to break long-held patterns of shame and low self-worth, inspiring balanced introspection and real self-love in turn. Vanilla beans come from a rare orchid and are painstakingly grown almost solely in Madagascar. They’re very difficult to cultivate and process, which is why they’re so expensive. Vanilla is a powerful aphrodisiac that enhances libido and increases sexual arousal.  

Candles are fire magic that transforms the room and mood. They also clear negativity, heal and purify. Candles help us see things in a different light. We love candles all year round at Sage Goddess, and we love making them for you. Beeswax, with its soft honey fragrance, has been used to make the finest candles since ancient times. Beeswax candles burn brighter and remove toxins from the air. Plus, beeswax is created by the worker bees, who are all female.
