This Rune Rounds: SG Full Set with Casting Cloth is full of magic – especially for those of you who appreciate the mysteries of ancient history! I am completely delighted to bring this offering to the shop, as almost everything within it was created with love, detail, and intention right here at SG Headquarters.
Runes can be read to reveal wisdom about the past, present, and future. However, they are not mere divination tools. They serve as guides, helping us become more aware of what is currently happening in our consciousness, and bringing more clarity regarding which path to take toward the future. This offering includes a full set of runes, about 1” each, which will come in a beautiful velvet bag with a traditional rune casting mat to help you read them.
The deeper magic of these rune rounds
Runes have been used in so many ways since the dawn of recorded time. They’ve served as a primordial form of psychological assessment; they were cast and read by oracles much in the same way we use tarot cards or the I Ching. And, they were part of a now-forgotten language. Runes are actually from an ancient alphabet (about 18,000 years old!) whose roots can be heard in Celtic and Viking languages and even modern German.
The 24 symbols in this set all represent different archetypes including strength, journey, protection, growth, breakthrough, joy, and more. However, runic was probably never a spoken language. Even from their inception, the runes were used in magical, ritual language only. An elite language for magical practitioners. And these runes are what remains of that incredible linguistic history.
