Phantom quartz occurs when a ‘phantom’ or ghost point outline is visible within a solid quartz point. The “phantom” is caused by a pause in the crystals growth, leaving a partial or complete “phantom” within the crystal after it continued to grow. This pause in growth can last for thousands of years. It’s extraordinary to find them as clear and perfect as you see here in these pieces. They are also the perfect illustration of the butterfly principle: growth, apparent inactivity and rebirth. From limitation comes something beautiful. Look at the druzy crystal formations around the individual points. Don’t they add an amazing amount of sparkle to this gorgeous cluster?

You will also receive a card describing the properties and recommended use of each stone. I charge all gems on my personal altar space and bathe them in full moonlight before listing.
