I adore peridot, and it isn’t just because I’m a Leo and this is my birthstone. In fact, it took many years for me to fall in love with peridot because I couldn’t appreciate this green stone and all its magic until I started to study history and geology. You see, the ancient Greeks and Romans thought peridot had special powers as a Wayseer’s Stone. It was thought that in the night, peridot glowed from within and would lead seekers to their intended path – often toward treasure! And, these natural peridot xenoliths are such beautiful examples of Mother Gaia’s magic! Xenoliths are extra magical due to the process by which they are formed, and these wonders will not disappoint you!
As you may know, peridot is believed to bring luck, bounty, and wealth to the bearer. It draws abundance energy, opens the Heart Chakra, and attracts opportunity. Now do you see why I love it so much? And the quality of these rough, xenolith pieces is stunning. They form quite differently from most peridot. To create each of these xenolith specimens, peridot had to be surrounded in magma, then embedded as the lava explosion cooled and grew this included gemstone. Amazing isn’t it? Peridot itself is a magnesium iron silicate with an orthorhombic crystal system.
Working with peridot xenoliths
