It’s solid brass, but kind of looks like enamel peacocks. My mother collected brass as I was growing up. She had a brass bell and the sound was unlike anything else. This bell has that same amazing ring. Beautifully done. If you are thinking about getting it, you won’t regret it. It’s one of my favorite things!
