This month, we honor the fox as our totem for the New Moon in Gemini. Both the fox and Gemini are clever, flexible, and masters at adapting to the environment. They’re also associated with duality and the ability to see both sides in any situation. On June 3, the New Moon will be in Gemini, the sign of the twins who are forever trying to reconcile their logical mental nature with their irrational emotional side. This “dilemma” is why we often perceive Geminis as fickle or always changing their minds (which can seem like lying). They’re wrestling with which direction to take and how to make sense of everything – with new information flooding in every second. Just like Gemini, the fox is always thinking, even shapeshifting. You never know what you’re going to get! This open-mindedness is a gift because it helps us come up with new ideas, appreciate varying viewpoints, and consider all options.

The fox is known for its ability to change appearance and become invisible whenever necessary. It’s associated with being able to control the aura or energy field around the body, so working with this spirit animal can help you adjust your frequency to harmonize with the environment. Flexibility creates many options and opens doors that otherwise appear locked… until you “look” again.

Fox medicine is also linked with the between or betwixt times, like dawn and dusk and the magic of intersecting worlds. Gemini is a master of connections – like connecting letters into words and cars that take us from here to there. The tools in my New Moon Spirit Animal Set: Fox

First in this New Moon Spirit Animal Set: Fox, you’ll receive one (1) set of five (5) essential oil drams to create your own Liquid Incense. You’ll receive one (1) dram of blue lotus, one (1) dram of frankincense, one (1) dram of eucalyptus, one (1) dram of Balsam de Peru, and one (1) dram of Jamrosa. In this New Moon ritual, you’ll blend your own liquid incense to be used to thin the veil between your two worlds of consciousness. Jamrosa, a hybrid of citronella indigenous to India, is an essential oil we’ve never used before. It’s known for its diverse aroma, with a combination of four exotic fragrances (citrus, rose, grass, and spice), and is a popular ingredient in traditional incense sticks. Jamrosa grass is purifying and helps you ease into a meditative state to explore your consciousness.

Please Note: This liquid incense is to be burned on a charcoal disk, and to not be worn as a perfume unless suspended in an appropriate carrier oil.

Next in this New Moon Spirit Animal Set: Fox is one (1) 10 ml dropper bottle for blending your liquid incense.

Next in this New Moon Spirit Animal Set: Fox are two (2) beeswax candles (about 8” tall). These hand-rolled single sheet beeswax candles represent the duality of life; our light and dark sides. The label wraps around both candles, binding them together. These candles were created to represent the two sides that are forever interconnected. In ritual, light both candles and blend the wax. They will melt together, symbolic of union and the ability to adapt and camouflage into one another.

Finally, in this New Moon Spirit Animal Set: Fox, you’ll receive a set of two (2) palm stones. Hold one in each hand during ritual to represent bringing your duality together to create unity:

One (1) labradorite palm stone (about 1.75”). Labradorite is naturally attuned to the lunar energies of the universe and brings hope and potential. Like the Hermit in the Tarot, labradorite helps to light your path in darkness so you may see your way through challenges.

One (1) angelite palm stone (about 1.5”). Angelite serves as an anchor and connection to our angelic guides and channels clear communication lines to the celestial realm. It activates the Third Eye and Throat Chakras, promoting calm communication, self-expression, tranquility, compassion, and intuitive thought.
