Many of you are building dedicated altar spaces for prosperity and abundance, so I purchased these pieces of the VERY hard to find Russian rainbow pyrite with you in mind. This is the stone for you to work with right alongside your citrine. It’s so gorgeous the photos hardly capture the completely dazzling display of rainbow colors on each of these pieces. It’s like sunset colors of micro glitter atop the most ancient specimen of layered rock you have ever, ever seen.
Rainbow pyrite is the trade name for an iridescent form of ‘pyrite druzy’. And druzy is a term used to describe gemstones in the form of encrustations or clusters of minute sparkling crystals coating a matrix. Druzy gemstones are actually pretty rare, especially in non-quartz species of crystals. This particular type of pyrite is a relatively recent discovery, and it has only been found in one location – Russia. Rainbow pyrite is famed for its rainbow-like iridescence, which is caused by differential refraction and diffraction of light. And it’s so beautiful and mesmerizing! Top quality materials, like this stone, can shimmer with all colors of the rainbow, including gold, green, pink and blue. Pyrite is an opaque iron sulphide which usually occurs in a bright brassy yellow color and a strong, metallic luster.
Working with Russian rainbow pyrite
Russian rainbow pyrite is a stone of positivity, keeping its bearer free from feelings of frustration, anxiety, and negativity. It is a good protective talisman, one that surrounds in beneficial energy. It is known as a manifestation stone. This rainbow pyrite is NOT the same as peacock ore. These are all gold, and covered in brilliant sparkles. The colors are natural and unique. This will make a gorgeous addition to your prosperity altar or sacred space.
