It’s important to consider the alchemy of metal when building a magical library of sacred tools, and copper is one of the most important magical metals. In alchemical traditions, it represents Venus, love, and sex – and thus is associated with both the heart and sacral chakras. I use copper to open and heal my sacral chakra, aligning my experience of sex and love and grounding my physical body. It offers grounding healing properties that are gentler than other tools, like black tourmaline or hematite.
