Lakshmi, the wife and energetic manifestation of Vishnu, has four arms, which represent the four pillars of human existence in the Hindu tradition. Dharma. Kama. Artha. And Moksha. Dharma has many meanings and interpretations, but can best be said to embody cosmic law or virtuous living. Kama symbolizes sexual desire, passion, love, pleasure, and affection. Artha translates literally to “purpose” or “meaning.” And Moksha stands for liberation, and can symbolize death and rebirth or self-actualization.

This is a beautiful rendering of the Lakshmi Goddess. The colors are slightly subdued which gives her a slightly weathered and bronzey look, which I love. She is not too big or heavy and she fits perfectly where I wanted her to be placed. Out of many the Lakshmi statuettes I’ve looked at, I like the details on this one the best. Super happy with this purchase!
