Hermetic Principles Month of Magic: Rhythm Set

I am so excited to offer my Hermetic Principles Month of Magic: Rhythm Set – the fifth set of seven on our journey through the great Hermetic principles or laws, the teachings of Thoth, god of wisdom, magic and writing. Thoth is also known as Hermes or Mercury. The Hermetic Teachings are secrets believed to have originated from the Emerald Tablet in ancient Egypt. Today, they are published in the book “The Kybalion”.

These secrets are like doorways into new ways of thinking, being, and acting that allow us to work with energy and transform our lives. Just as the alchemists of old, we too can create and transmute matter. Matter is densified Spirit. Spirit is eternal and unchanging, but its forms are forever changing and transforming. This magic is not reserved for the elite or spiritual guru – it is for anyone who chooses to learn and harness the language of energy.

Hermetic Principles Month of Magic: Rhythm Set

My fifth Hermetic Principles set is dedicated to the Fifth Hermetic Principle, Rhythm. “Everything flows out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right, is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.” The Principle of Rhythm embodies the understanding that everything has a flow, much like the tides of the oceans. What comes in must go out. What goes up must come down. What is born will one day die. We observe this law in the world as creation and destruction, sleeping and waking, the rise and fall of nations, and so forth.

Rhythm is the movement between poles of polarity. In learning the Fourth Hermetic Principle, Polarity, we understand that everything has its opposite and both sides are part of the same continuum or energy field. You can learn to escape, in part, the effects of the law of rhythm by polarizing your mind and attitude. You can’t stop the swing of the pendulum, but you can choose to not be mentally and emotionally tossed around by the motion. Some call this state “even-mindedness”. By detaching from your reactions to this constant movement, you can create the state of consciousness you want to experience. While the movement is still happening, you mentally choose where you want to rest in the field of motion. Your mind determines your experience in this context, and you can shift your attention and attitude to anything you wish, like peace, happiness, or excitement.

Your Hermetic Principles Month of Magic: Rhythm Set will include the following tools:

First in this set is one (1) 6 oz hand poured Rhythm Candle anointed with my Rhythm Perfume. As you light this candle, acknowledge the Principle of Rhythm and the fact that everything is moving, and in response to each movement, moving again in compensation. Meditate on the flame and set your attention on the state of mind you wish to maintain as the tides of your life flow in and out; as the pendulum swings. Imagine yourself above the rhythm motion – just a little shift from where you are. And in this calm, choose a place that feels good to you, and use your attention to stay there.

After that, you’ll receive one (1) 10 ml bottle of my Rhythm Perfume, created especially for this set – to help you use the law of rhythm and work with energy flow. With notes of patchouli, cinnamon, damiana, and helichrysum, this blend will help you stay even-minded and avoid being swept away by the pendulum swing.

Next, you will receive one (1) wooden heptagon (about 6”), printed with an image of a Triskele with the words “Everything flows out and in; everything has its tides”. The Triskele represents the eternal rhythm of life that we are all a part of. This ancient symbol adorned the most sacred places representing the trinity of life, and most significantly, it represents the Goddess in all her forms. Each month, a wooden heptagon will be included in the Month of Magic set. You’ll want to collect them all because together, they connect into an amazing piece you can hang on your wall. We are so excited to offer this one of a kind collection.

Next, you will receive one (1) tumbled dumortierite (about 1”) for transformation, peace, and graceful transition. Dumortierite engages and opens the Third Eye, bringing enhanced insight and intuition. It also deepens your connection to your spirit guides and helps you to release any energetic blockages. Called the stone of patience, dumortierite brings order to chaos. It reprograms the mind, in a sense, as it releases negative thoughts and old mental patterns.

And lastly, you will receive one (1) beautiful journal prompt page, printed on parchment paper. Use this page to write down your thoughts, and feel the power they hold when taking form as written words. This page was created to prompt you to incorporate the Rhythm principle in your own life.
