Named after the Greek goddess of crossing over, witchcraft, and the unseen, these Hecate’s Torch Matches honor the final face of harvest. Hecate is the goddess who embodies the final days of harvest – a time to take stock of what didn’t blossom and to reflect on what withered away. This is also a time to acknowledge how much exists beyond what appears available with your five mortal senses. Hecate knows what we do not; we can call upon her in moments of uncertainty. October, the month of the Crow, the unseen, and the shadow, marks our transition into the dark winter months when we rely on Hecate’s guidance.
