Lepidolite, a natural, crystallized form of lithium, grows with tourmaline and kunzite. Though its beautiful pinkish, lavender color and delicate texture give it the appearance of softness, its powers are well documented. Our Native American ancestors had many tourmaline mines on their reservation lands in the Southwest and would mine lepidolite, rubbing the stone directly on their bodies, releasing lithium mica into their skin. It mellowed them out, relaxed them, and even eased mood disorders. It also helped improve mood and relieve anxiety. Today we know that lepidolite has this effect, even vibrationally.
