This stick was engraved right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters with the word “Consecration” all over it. “Consecrate” comes from the Latin “sacer” meaning “sacred.” Palo santo is a sacred wood that grows in South America. When Spanish monks discovered its clearing and healing properties, they named it “palo santo” which means “holy wood.” This palo santo is infused with frankincense and myrrh essential oils – which have both been worked with for centuries to purify and clear space.

Essential oil-infused palo santo is something special, custom-made right here at Sage Goddess Headquarters. It took us months to cultivate this process, and it’s proprietary! Palo santo is amazing on its own, but it can be hard to light, and people often complain that it produces very little smoke. Infused palo santo lights more easily and stays lit longer. It also produces more smoke, and the smoke is more aromatic. Burn this stick before meditation or ceremony to prepare and clear yourself and your sacred space.

Shamans have worked with palo santo medicine for thousands of years. It’s physically and spiritually cleansing, enhances clarity, restores tranquility, promotes joy, and inspires creativity. Palo santo also deepens your connection with Divine Source and enhances meditation. The attraction to its fragrance is said to be a sign of spiritual and emotional purity. At Sage Goddess, we only use sustainably sourced palo santo wood and oils. Our Peruvian partners only harvest wood that has died naturally and has been dead for at least 5 years. We never harm living trees! The dead wood is collected, cleaned and cut by hand. In addition, we are committed to replanting trees in the forests where we find our wood. This ensures that our palo santo forests are not susceptible to over-harvesting.

Frankincense is a sacred Biblical incense and one of the Magi’s gifts to newborn Jesus. Its potent scent is protective, grounding, purifying, and can transport you into a deep meditative state. Frankincense connects you to Source energy; the Chinese called it “fanhunxiang” meaning “calling back the soul fragrance.” It also promotes feelings of satisfaction, peace, and reduces stress.
