Bloodstone is my go-to stone for healing of any kind. Bloodstone strengthens the Root Chakra and brings closure and healing in emotional situations. It also brings relief from pain, rejuvenation, endurance, and protection. When feeling fearful or frail, bloodstone brings tenacity and strength. It gives you the confidence to face challenges, instills the courage to move forward, and carries encouraging, comforting energy. The runes are from an ancient system of language whose roots can be heard in Celtic and Viking languages and even modern German. The name rune itself, taken to mean “secret, something hidden,” seems to indicate knowledge of the runes was originally considered esoteric or restricted to an elite. Even from their inception, the runes were used in magical, ritual language. Each rune has esoteric meanings and properties associated with it. Each rune represents a word or a phrase signifying concepts important to the early peoples who used them, associated with the forces of nature and mind. Each rune has a story attached to it; a relationship to a Norse god.
