The deeper magic of this Bloodstone, Prehnite, and Red Jasper Healing Rune Set

There are several variants of the runic alphabet. The one we use here at Sage Goddess is Elder Futhark, the oldest of them all, consisting of 24 runes. The first six runes of the alphabet spell out the word “FUTHARK.” The name rune itself, taken to mean “secret, something hidden,” seems to indicate knowledge of the runes was originally considered esoteric, or restricted to an elite. Each rune has esoteric meanings and properties associated with it. Each rune represents a word or a phrase signifying concepts important to the early peoples who used them, associated with the forces of nature and mind. Each rune has a story attached to it; a relationship to a Norse god. When you choose to work with runes (or as some would say – when the runes choose you), you initiate yourself into a quest for deeper wisdom.
