This is the first perfume I’ve offered for your Black Moon work. As opposed to my Full and New Moon perfume blends, this brand new perfume is intended for you to anoint yourself during ritual under the rare Black Moon. This is the time when the moon is dark and not visible in our night sky for the second time in one month, and it amplifies any shadow work you may be undertaking. This perfume is meant to be your companion in ritual use, ceremonies, setting intentions, creative work, and other magic invoking the mystery of the darkest moon – the New Moon equivalent of the Blue Moon.
A Black Moon occurs when there is an extra New Moon in a calendar month; this second moon is called Lilith, or Black Moon. Did you know one takes place next month, on September 30th. This rare moon describes our relationship to the absolute, to sacrifice as such, and shows how we let go in life. It shows us where we question ourselves, our lives, our beliefs, and our paths. And it brings us the opportunity to let go of the deepest, darkest parts we’ve been avoiding.

The Black Moon is one of the most powerful nights for us. We use this rare phase of the moon to dive deep and find what needs to be released, so we can create and set intentions for our continued growth and success. True creativity starts from a void, and it is in the darkness, when Luna is dim, that our inner light shines brightest, and we are presented with an intensified opportunity for integration of dark and light.
This fragrance is dark and spicy, with notes of poppies, black pepper, frankincense, patchouli, and black amber. I purchased the Black Moon Ritual set for the Black Moon in September.
At first I wasn’t too sure of the scent on me. I continued to use it and now it’s one of my favorite perfumes from Sage Goddess.
I highly recommend this perfume for shadow work and for a great smelling perfume just to wear and feel wonderful.

This perfume Black Moon is a wonderful scent. It is a aroma that draws you in to imagine and let go of things that are weighing you down. I was moved by the description Athena described. I knew that I wanted it. And I’m so glad that I did. It is such a beautiful aroma and smells wonderful on me, hahahaha because I don’t want to stop smelling my arm.
