The Aztec Calendar is a sophisticated, detailed, and interconnected triple calendar system. The Aztec calendar system acknowledged and adhered to the movements of celestial bodies, and listed significant religious festivals and sacred dates. Additionally, the individual days and period of days were designated their own deities. Every 52 years the calendars would coincide and the day each calendar aligned was considered to be sacred, significant and auspicious.
Onyx embodies inner strength, endurance, and persistence during the completion of challenging tasks. It helps stimulate focus and helps conserve vital energies, rather than allowing them to dissipate. Onyx also increases mental focus and aides in the retention of memory. My creamy grey bowl is heavy, beautifully etched and currently holds a sphere! Great for offerings, setting my jewelry in overnight, or placing nice herbs and oils in to scent my room. The size surprised me, too. So many uses, grab one while you can!
