Simple Ritual: Gratitude Exercise

This week in North America we celebrate Thanksgiving. I always giggle a little at the idea that we save all of our gratitude and mindful practices of thanks-giving for ONE day out of the entire year. Aren’t you grateful every day? I am! I look around and see the many people, things, places, experiences, relationships I treasure and find myself in a constant state of appreciation. I do think the many ways in which my life is blessed are results of my gratitude practice.

Yes, practice. If you’re not one of the people who says thank you EVERY DAY for all that you have (and life isn’t perfect, it’s all a matter of where you place your attention in a given moment) then this post is for you! And even if you do, this is a nudge from the Universe to become more intentional, deliberate, and proactive in your gratitude practice. Print the image above and fill it in, or simple read it and fill in the blanks in your mind, offering your gratitude once per day for the many blessings that surround you. Share with friends to help inspire them to do the same!

If you’re looking for small and memorable spiritually-oriented gifts this season, over at the Sage Goddess shop there’s an entire section dedicated to holiday gift ideas.

I hope your Thanksgiving holiday is blessed with laughter, love, delicious food, and the many warm comforts of the season. As you give thanks, your cycle of abundance begins in earnest. May it bless you and yours many-fold. And so it is.

  1. Thank You! I try to be thankful everyday but I do believe the universe is nudging me though because I don’t aways express my thankfulness. In the summer my tarot cards kept telling me I was going to be headed down a new path and have open doors. It was suppose to be in the fall and so it was. The Goddess has awakend me to a new path in my life. I am thankful for you and all others that has helped me in the learning of my new path as well for all my surroundings, family, and friends. I wish bright blessings for you, your family, and your dear friends for a beautiful thanksgiving filled with love and magick! So it is.
