It’s almost Chinese New Year, and what a joyous time it is! This year, on February 8th, we will pass into a new year on the Chinese Calendar. Traditionally, it’s celebrated with a two week festival brimming with lights, delicious meals, gifts, and rituals honoring the deities who guide us through the year. To honor this special day, I’ve crafted a beautiful ritual set to work with the energies of this year’s reigning elemental zodiac sign: The Fire Monkey.
In Chinese astrology, each year corresponds with one of the animal zodiac signs. The signs align on a 12-year cycle, each one paired with one of the five Earthly elements. This year’s sign, The Fire Monkey, is a special one indeed. Monkey years signify a rapid leap forward in your personal life. You are offered a window to create change and blaze your own unique path.
