The deeper magic of these Norse Talisman Pendants
In Norse mythology, Valhalla, known as the House of the Fallen, is an enormous, majestic hall that is ruled over by Odin, the god of the afterlife. Valhalla is a place of perpetual fighting— thatched with shields and spears, and fiercely guarded by wolves and eagles, as described in Norse poetry. Warriors who enter Valhalla are extraordinary men chosen by Odin himself. These Norse Talisman Pendants invoke the elder counsel of Odin and his chosen men.
Within a concentric ring of the runic alphabet is the symbol of the valknut – a mysterious triad of interlocking triangles that is often associated with the afterlife, which is the realm of Odin. Its exact meaning is elusive, though it is well known that triangles, numerically associated with three, represent creation, preservation, and destruction. Three interlocking triangles of three points resonates numerically with the number nine, which is the number that represents the culmination of all the lessons and experiences that have been garnered through the journey thus far. Nine is the number of resolution, which may be why this symbol is associated with the afterlife.
In Norse culture, it was traditional to wear runes as talismans. Combining the intention of the runes with the properties of the crystal, stone, metal, or wood into which it’s etched amplifies their inherent power.
