I love working with fossils, sometimes more than I like working with crystals. They hold the energy and wisdom of millions of years of our ancestors, not to mention they’re stunning and beautiful to look at. Ammonites were creatures that lived about 400 million years ago, making them some of the oldest organic matter on the planet. Their name comes from the Egyptian God Ammon, or Amun, and was believed to be a symbol of the deity.
Ammonite is such a multipurpose stone. It is believed to aid those on their spiritual path, and the spiral symbol represents continual evolution and growth. Some recommend keeping ammonite in your home to call in prosperity, health, and expansion. Each creature splits in half, perfect to give to a loved one or friend.
