These stones, called staurolite (from the Greek stauros, or “cross”) are known as faerie crosses and are rare pieces from Russia. The story goes that when Christ was crucified, the faeries wept and these stones were their hardened tears. Each stone is topped with a brown cross, with a shimmer and sparkle that draws you into the magic and splendor of life.
