Breu resin is incredibly cleansing and has an uplifting, woodsy scent when burned. Extracted from the almacega tree of the Amazon rainforest, breu resin can range from a light whitish color to almost black depending on the tree and the age of the resin. Breu claro is a lighter variety used by Indigenous shamans to apply the ‘bahsese,’ a blessing that invokes the presence of rainforest beings who hold all the knowledge of humanity.
