This soapstone triple moon mortar & pestle is a unique tool, and one necessary for anyone who works with herbs and plants. The mortar is a bowl type container, typically made of hard wood, ceramic or stone. The pestle is a heavy and blunt club-shaped object, the end of which is used for crushing and grinding. Place the substance you wish to grind in the mortar and then grind, crush or mix your ingredients using the pestle.
