Diopside is very hard to find, even with international sources, as I have. This shining green gem is the chromium rich mineral from Russia that means, in Greek, dual view. I found these flat, squared pieces at the Tucson Gem Show and practically dove for them. They are polished to perfection and lovely for meditation – it feels like they were made to fit in the palm of your hand.
I always keep a piece near the space where I do readings because diopside hones your ‘second sight’, which allows you to see people’s motives, secrets, and behaviors from a place of clarity. It is a strategy stone, offering you perspective on what will happen. When you work with diopside, you often feel as if you know what’s going to happen a day or a week or a month from now. As Athena says this stone is a work horse. Since I have hand this stone it is one that travels with me everywhere. I believe that I have great intuition, but this stone heightens that. It is pretty hard to get something past me when I have this stone with me.
