So many of you have inquired about the shield ring I wear and now you get to have your very own! Athena’s Shield Maiden Rings are beautiful pieces of adornment that aren’t only stylish to wear but are filled with protection, healing magic, and symbolism. These custom-designed rings were made just for Sage Goddess as a replica of my shield ring with a little variation – the flowers on the side were replaced with the triple moon. These .925 sterling silver, shield-shaped rings were oxidized for a vintage look and feature faceted smoky quartz set in the center. Smoky quartz transforms and transmutes energies. It takes in whatever is negative or of a low vibration and holds that energy away from you. The Triple Moon symbol represents the waxing, full, and waning phases of the Moon. Because of the relationship of women to the Moon, these three phases also symbolize the maiden, the mother, and the crone phases of a woman’s life. You can learn more about our SG Moon events here.
The deeper magic of Athena’s Shield Maiden Rings
Smoky quartz is my partner in magic. Almost more than any other stone – and that’s a huge statement for me to make! It helps me both with the process and the outcome of the work I do. Smoky quartz is a protective and grounding Root Chakra stone that transmutes negative energy and purifies your aura. It’s a powerful healer that absorbs the energies the body cannot take or hold on its own. I’ve even seen it help with the side effects of different medical therapies. It’s like the gem version of a best friend. You’re also more likely to see ghosts, fairies, UFOs, and spirit guides when smoky quartz is around.
Wear one of these rings as a reminder of your sacred femininity and to connect with your inner youthfulness and light. If you are looking for a protective gem for daily use, get this beautifully crafted Maiden ring. I feel like Maiden with her shield as I placed it on my finger. Either it runs big or the wrong size sent, doesn’t matter bc it belongs in my hand . It is a chunky piece of candy for your hand in magic!!

I’m absolutely thrilled with my Shield Ring!!!! It is beautiful and the quality is great. The Smokey Quartz stone is a nice size and set very sturdy. Very solid ring with a nice weight to it. I like that it is on the larger size since I wear it on my middle finger which I think it looks the best on for me. I absolutely love the moons on either side…I’m now a regular to Sage Goddess’s New and Full Moon ceremonies every month!!! I haven’t taken it off since I received it. Thank you SG for another wonderful creation.

I love my Maiden Sheild Ring in Smokey quartz, it is gentle yet there is still that grounding energy. It looks like a miniature chocolate candy bar on my finger, such magic. Size 7 here.
